Chamber Announces Annual Business and Educators of the Year Award Winners at 13th Annual Gala
Herndon, March 10, 2008 -- The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of its annual Business and Educators of the Year Awards at its 13th Annual Awards Gala on Sat., March 8, 2008 at the Hilton Washington Dulles Airport.
"This year's Awards gala acknowledges our theme, the Power of Dreams, an incisive metaphor for today's youth and tomorrow's workforce," exclaimed DRCC Chairman Danny Vargas (VARCom Solutions) as he welcomed the crowd of 300 attendees. "In the course of the evening, we will feature the talents of some of our young prodigies, drawn from our several partner high schools." ...
Business Awards
Each year the Chamber puts out a call for nominations for its Annual Business Awards, and from this a slate of finalists is chosen. The judges, drawn from last year's winners and the Board of Directors, participate in a blind judging deciding on quality of product or service, customer service, business growth, recognition with their industry, community service and impact within the Chamber. This year's winners, presented with their awards at the Gala, are:

Business Winners
Stitely & Karstetter, PLLC, is a full-service CPA/Business Advisory firm, with an additional concentration on small to midsize accounting software. They offer financial statement preparation and financial forecasting, business valuations, and offer temporary/part-time controller services. Co-Principal Paul Karstetter has served on the Chamber's Board for twelve years, many of those as Treasurer, as well as a volunteer for Friday Night Live. His partner Frank Stitely is a national circuit speaker on issues of accounting technology and recently presented a seminar on Detecting and Preventing Fraud in Your Business at a Chamber Business Owners Round Table.
